The presidency has published a list of prominent Nigerians banned from traveling outside the country pending investigations into the financial transactions of these persons of interest as being monitored by the relevant agencies to ensure that the assets are not dissipated and such persons do not interfere with, or howsoever corrupt the investigation and litigation processes.
The list consist of former governors, ministers, Armed Forces members, aides and justices perceived to have been involved in corruption and money laundering in a bid to fully implement Executive Order 6.
The Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the President, Garba Shehu, in a statement, said the immigration service and other security agencies have been mandated to put the 50 persons in their watch-list even as President Buhari has mandated the Attorney-General of the Federation and the Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, to implement the Order in full force.
