Member representing Uvwie/Sapele/Okpe federal constituency in the House Of Representatives and Delta Central Senatorial candidate of PDP, Hon Evelyn Omavowan Oboro Esq, have called on all the residents of her constituency, to as a matter of fact, take environmental cleanliness as their watchword.
Noting the flood menace and taking advantage of today being the last Saturday of October, the senatorial hopeful admonished the constituency to open up drainages in flood prone areas.
“Cleanliness is next to Godliness, I see no reason why people find it difficult to engaged in environmental sanitation, dirties everywhere when necessary waste collection point is provide by government and private company. I’m seriously pleading and advocating to my people to channel good attitude towards keeping our environment in hygienic conditions. Clear the bushes around your houses,your drainage system should be through for easy flow of water and like wise stop dumping refuse on motors way and site not approved for waste dumping”. She said
She went further to reiterate that all must join hands with the government in providing a healthy and environment friendly ecosystem that will be conducive for all to live and to make the flood control measure effective.
She sent condolences across to victims of the flood disaster in the state, asking them to take solace in government provided IDPs camps across the state and also pledged continuous effort in ongoing control to help return victims to their communities.
