Internet fraudsters flee from Abraka as EFCC raids Sapele

The raid by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in Sapele has reportedly sent cold shivers down the spin of suspected fraudsters in Abraka.

Reported to have deserted the campus town, several of them were reported to have also taken solace in hotels.


The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested some internet fraudsters in Delta Stat

In a statement the commission released today on their Twitter page,

“Operatives of the EFCC, Advance fee Fraud Section, Abuja Headquarters in collaboration with Operatives from Benin Zonal Office in a joint operation on Friday, May 17, 2019 arrested 22 suspected internet fraudsters during an early morning raid at Sapele, Delta State.

The suspects, who are between 18 to 30, were smoked out of their hideout in an early morning operatives, A day earlier, operatives from Abuja had arrested 2 in Ughelli
Items recovered from them include laptop computers, iphones, Android phones, ATM cards and three exotic vehicles -Benz C350, Benz ML 350 and Chrysler 300.


They have so far given useful information to operatives.”
