LAWMAKER DONATES TWO COWS, FOOD ITEMS TO FLOOD VICTIMS IN DELTA

It was a moment of joy for traumatized  flood victims when the member representing Ughelli North/Ughelli South/
Udu Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon Solomon Ahwinahwi donated relief materials including food items worth millions of naira to them.

Expressing sadness over the devastating effect of the flood disaster on his constituents and sympathising with them, the lawmaker assured them of a better tomorrow, urging  them not to despair but to exercise faith in God for their speedy resettlement to their various homes noting that when there’s life, there’s hope.

Ahwinahwi promised to continue to support them and ensure that they are properly resettled

The items donated included several  cartons of noodles, 50kg bags of garri and beans, two cows, cartons of chicken, litres of vegetable oil, sanitary wears for women, diapers for children, and many other toiletries.

Receiving the items on behalf of the flood victims of Ewu communities, the co-ordinator for Ughelli South LGA and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Community Development, Chief Sam Oboramohwoyoere and the camp director at Ughievwen Model Primary, Otu Jeremi, venue of the rehab programme for the council area, Mrs. Mercy Mrabure, expressed appreciation to Chief Solomon Ahwinahwi and his team for the visit and bogus donations which they described as outstanding.

They prayed for his good health and continuing success in his political pursuits, promising to adequately justify his good gesture in the disbursement of the relief and food items to the affected persons.
