Tension Brews As Delta PDP Chairman Petitions IG Over Threat To Life

The honourable chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, Hon. Godwin Adode and Ughelli North People’s Democratic Party Chairman, Hon. Lawrence Agbatutu JP, has alleged threat to their lives in a petition to the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu.

The duo through a statement signed by the PDP chairman called on relevant security agencies and the general public to intervene on the incessant harassment, intimidation, attack and threat to life spearheaded by a woman leader of the opposition APC, Mrs Stella Okotete in the council.

According to reports gathered from DESPSOMET, the Executive Director, Business Development, NEXIM Bank, Mrs Stella Okotete in her commando style has been dishing out series of threat to eliminate key leaders of the PDP in the council so that they, APC can achieve their political goal of installing a Lagos business man as governor of Delta state.

The plot as alleged is being masterminded by creating unnecessary tension in Ughelli North using thugs and some men of the Nigeria Police Force code named Special Operation Squad (SOS).

“In view of the ongoing, I hereby, with due respect, call on the Inspector General of Police, the Delta Commissioner of Police, the Ughelli Police Area Commander and other relevant security agencies to call Mrs Stella Okotete to order before things get out of hand.” the statement read.
