A group of social media practitioners drawn from the various districts of the Ughievwen clan has berated the ongoing announcement of collated presidential results.
The group known as ‘Ughievwen Kindred’ aka “U. K” called on the People’s Democratic Party not to allow the process continue as INEC has been sabotaged.
Making the group’s stand known to newsmen, PRO of the organization, Ejaita Tekevwe Runor said,
“From the results collated and announced so far, you can see it obvious from INEC’s body language that they are acting an already prepared script.
“We want it known that it is not acceptable and we urge the PDP not to allow the flawed process to continue, he said.
Meanwhile, United States congressman, Chris Smith has said that votes were tampered with in the Nigerian presidential election.
According to the ranking member of the House Subcommittee on Africa, “I am very concerned by credible reports that the vote is being tampered with. To avoid any manipulation of the tally, it is critical that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announce without delay actual results — which are certified by party agents and observers — at each polling unit as the vote is tabulated.” he said.
