Members of the National Working Committee of the All Progressive Congress, APC from the North East Zone has asked the National Chairman, Adams Oshiomole not to interfere with the affairs of the party in the zone.
Report from Vanguard stated that the opposition came from the Zonal Vice Chairman, Comrade Mustapha Salihu saying that Oshiomole had forced mode of primaries in the National Working Committee which had led to botched elections in Zamfara.
According to him, the only way there will be harmony in the NWC is for Oshiomhole to stop treating members as if they were his students.
“We have our national secretariat, but he drags us to his private office for most of our meetings. We initially thought it was something that would be once in a while, but it has now become the pattern.
“When you have a dissenting opinion on an issue, you are viewed as an enemy. We all represent different flanks within the party, and we cannot forget our constituents in a hurry, but when you talk, they say you want to make trouble”, he added.
Meanwhile, Adams Oshiomole has raised an alarm over plot to pass a vote of no confidence on him by unnamed elements within the party thereby frustrating his efforts to reposition it.
The allegation which was contained in a statement made available by his Chief Press Secretary, Simon Ebegbulem opined that mutterings among party members saw state chairmen mobilize to pass vote of no confidence on the party’s national leadership.
